The feature film nominations for the 2015 HomeVida Awards is now open!!!
This year, HomeVida in partnership with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is raising awareness about the issues faced by persons with disability particularly disabled women and youth in Nigeria.
Do you know any Nigerian movie that highlights this issue? If you do, help them win N1 million (One Million Naira Only) at the 2015 HomeVida Awards.

SACE Criteria
Criteria for Selecting the Disability Film Prize Endowed by Strengthening Advocacy and Civic Engagement (SACE) with the theme:
Increase visibility and raise awareness about issues that persons with disabilities, especially disabled women and youth, face in Nigeria.
The winning film should ideally meet all or some of the following criteria:
Award Criteria
1. Foster issues of equality and addressing the needs and rights of marginalized groups especially for women and youth with disability
2. Portray youth and women with disability In a positive context overcoming challenges
3. Promote civic engagement and good and responsive governance
Technical Criteria
1. Have been produced in Nigeria by a Nigerian aged 18 or over
2. Be a drama film
3.A film not more than 120mins long
4.Be of modern broadcast standards with clear sound and vision
5.Be realistic, dramatic and entertaining
6.Produce documentation to show clearance of music rights, script and talent.
7.Show evidence of censorship with NFVCB (if the film has been released)
8.Meet individual criteria for the applied prize category
Film Criteria
1.A film suitable for children or family viewing and
2.A film that creatively highlight the challenge(s) faced by people living with disability and
Proffers solution.
Have a storyline that is believable, realistic, dramatic and entertaining.
