Hello, poets in the building! Get ready to rumble! Season 3 of 9ja’s hottest social-media poetry competition, PulseStudentPoetry Prize, is here!
In the #PulseStudentPoetry contest, every poetry loving student – including you, has a unique opportunity to win a Lenovo laptop with a simple 8-line poetic expression.
Season 2 winner, Adedayo Adeyemi Agarau, is already writing on his prize after the handover at Pulse.ng studios in Lekki.
Yes, its that simple: Write a poem, share it and wait for the laptop to fall into your waiting arms.
But…of course there are some rules we must follow:

  1. Write an 8 line poem about anything: Religion, terrorism, politics, God, love environment, something that bothers you, your idol, school, your parents…just about anything.
  2. Submit your poem as a Facebook comment under this announcement on Pulse ng website from today.
  3. Ask your friends to LIKE the comment–poem. They are the judges and comments will be allowed until Monday June 16.
  4. The 5 most popular poems will published on  PulseNg Facebook page and website on Thursday June 19 after which voting will begin in form of comments, shares, tweets and retweets.
  5. Tweet/share the link to your poem when it is published and remember to mention @PulseNigeria247 and add the tag:#PulseStudentPoetry Prize because only tweets with that tag will be counted.
  6. Follow @PulseNigeria247 on Twitter/Instagram and Like us on Facebook.
  7. The poet with the highest number of combined comments, Likes, Shares, Tweets, Retweets on our website, Facebook Page, Twitter and Instagram, by Friday June 27 wins.
  8. Our winner for May will get his/her laptop on Monday June 30.
  9. Students Pulse reserves the right to DISQUALIFY a poem/poet for a number of reasons including but not limited toCOMPLIANCEQUALITY and ORIGINALITY.
The laptops are a donation by Ringier AG of Switzerland, of which Ringier Nigeria is a subsidiary, to the Nigerian student community.Ringier AG is not involved in the choice of student beneficiaries.
They are fairly chosen openly by vote counts by representatives of Ringier Nigeria.
 This competition continues every month until December 2014.
