TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE SHOPRITE NIGERIA BIRTHDAY GAME
(THE BIRTHDAY GRAND DASH)
Retail Supermarkets Nigeria Ltd (“Shoprite”) is conducting this promotional
competition (“the competition”).
All participants, by entering the competition, agree to be bound by these terms
and conditions:
1. THE COMPETITION:
1.1 This competition starts on the 22nd of August 2016 and will end on the 9
October 2016
Users stand the chance to win their share of the total aggregate amount of N1,
700,000 (One Million Seven Hundred Thousand Naira) in gift vouchers. The total
prize money will be rewarded via the website and social media, where the game
will be hosted.
The winners will be chosen throughout the duration of the campaign on a weekly
basis.
1.2 To participate in this competition you must:
1.2.1 be a Nigerian citizen or permanent resident of Nigeria; and
1.2.2 hold a valid ID document.
2. PRIZES:
2.1 Multiple entrants stand the chance to win Shoprite Shopping vouchers to the
total value of N1,700,000 (One Million Seven Hundred Thousand Naira).
2.2 If you are successful and win a Shopping Voucher, you will be contacted by
Shoprite representatives with details on how to claim your prize.
3. HOW TO ENTER
3.1 On the Shoprite Nigeria website:
3.1.1 Go to the Shoprite website (www.shoprite.com.ng) and play the Birthday
Grand Slam Game, The Birthday Grand Dash, by following the instructions
supplied.
3.1.2 At the end of the game you will need to fill in your details and submit to
Shoprite Nigeria.
3.1.3 Prizes are sent out on a weekly basis, there will be 3 winners, one will
receive a N100 000 (One Hundred Thousand Naira) voucher, the second winner
will receive a N70 000 (Seventy Thousand Naira) voucher and the final winner will
receive a N50 000 (Fifty Thousand Naira) voucher per week. Winners are selected
through a weekly draw. The vouchers can only be redeemed once details have
been given and you have opted into receive our monthly mailer.
4. GENERAL:
4.1 Employees, directors, agents, contractors and consultants of Shoprite and
their immediate families, life partners, associates or business partners may not
enter the competition.
4.2 A copy of this competition rules can additionally be obtained at
www.termsconditions.co.za.
4.3 Shopping vouchers won are valid until 22 August 2017, if winners do not
utilize their redemption codes within this period they will forfeit any rights that
they may have to the prize.
4.4 If required by Shoprite the winner must be able to identify him or herself (in
a manner determined by Shoprite) as the person that entered the competition
and will have to comply with the required validation procedures in order to claim
the prize.
4.5 In the event of a dispute in regard to any aspect of the competition and/or
these terms and conditions, the decision of Shoprite will be final and binding and
no correspondence may be entered into.
4.6 Important notice: Shoprite is not liable for any technical failures affecting
participation in the competition and it assumes no liability whatsoever for any
entry that has been omitted from participation for any reason whatsoever.
4.7 Shoprite may refuse to award the prize if entry procedures or these terms
and conditions have not been adhered to or if it detects any irregularities or
fraudulent practices.
5. IMPORTANT NOTICES:
5.1 Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash.
5.2 The information you provide by entering this competition will only be used by
Shoprite.
5.3 Neither Shoprite, its agents, its associated companies, nor any directors,
officers or employees of such, shall be liable for any loss or damage, whether
direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise arising from any cause whatsoever,
which may be suffered by the participant.
5.4 Participation in the promotional competition constitutes acceptance of the
promotional competition rules and participants agree to abide by the rules.
5.5 By entering this competition you agree to receive promotional information by
means of electronic mail or short message system from Shoprite, its agents or
associated companies.
5.6 All data costs related to entering this promotion shall be borne by the
participant.
