THE 7TH ABUJA INTERNATIONAL TRADE FAIR HAS KICKED OFF FROM 27TH SEPTEMBER AND WILL END ON 8TH OCTOBER, 2012.


This 7th Abuja International Trade Fair, organized by the Abuja Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, ABUCCIMA at the J. T. Useni Trade Fair Complex along Airport road, Abuja, has 52 different companies represented.
President of ABUCCIMA, Dr Solomon Nyagba had at a press briefing assured of adequate security arrangements to ensure a hitch-free fair where over 100 local exhibitors and others from Ghana, Philippines, Indonesia, China, Senegal, Venezuela, among others have already taken up stands.
The theme of this year’s fair is: “Transforming and Reforming SMEs as Growth Drivers for Economic Development’’.
Nyagba explained that the chamber was collaborating with Abuja Urban Mass Transit Company to provide pick-up points from all the suburbs to the trade fair to ease transportation.
According to him, the fair would bring some economic fortunes to Abuja and Nigeria in general, saying “being an international trade fair, we are optimistic that the fair will woo some investors, who will in turn create job opportunities and further reduce poverty”.
The Director-General of ABUCCIMA, Mr Joe Wenegieme also expressed optimism that the fair would create more than 150 ad hoc jobs for the teeming populace, explaining that the jobs would be created in the areas of sales and services.
