SUMMARY OF SHOW



The Beat 99.9 FM Radio Superstar is a unique radio talent show for vocalists and rappers that aims to find their voice in the first ever Beat FM Radio Superstar hunt.


The hunt for the first Beat FM Radio Superstar is the first of it’s kind and is totally unique because listeners can audition from the comfort of their own home!




HOW IT WORKS
Week 1 to 4


Listeners are encouraged to send in their vocal auditions, each week 8 new auditions will be picked and played on air. These auditions will be on website and people will be asked to vote online for the best two.


Week 5 & Week 6


The 8 finalists will be invited to the Beat for interviews, during which they will have to sing live.


Each week, listeners will be encouraged to vote online for their favourite two.


Week 7


Recap of competition so far, and announcement of the 4 finalists    



Week 8


Finalists task: Industry Nite


The 4 finalists will have to perform during industry nite, (opening acts) This will be filmed and put on our website. Audio of the performances to be played on-air.


Week 9


Mentoring week


The finalists get to sit down with a known and successful artist who will give them advice on the industry and their talent.


Week 10


Contestants come back into the studio to tell us about their journey so far and perform again. Performances will be uploaded and once again listeners will be ask to vote for the top 3 finalists



Week 11


Announcement of top 3


Week 13 or 14


Winner of Radio Superstar will be back in the studio to premiere their new song (produced by a renowned Nigerian producer)

YOUNG JOHN




Young John is a Nigerian Producer who got popular for producing the critically acclaimed single “Story for the gods” off Olamide’s “Street OT” album. HE went on to produce more songs that enjoyed massive airplay and distribution in 2015 which include Olamide’s “Bobo” and Lil Kesh’ “Efejoku among others. He produced Kiss Daniels’s “Mama” and Olamide’s “Konkobility” which have attracted numerous award nominations for the year 2016.


Born into a Christian Family, Young John had his basic formal education at Ideal Foundation Primary School, Ibadan. He further attended OBMS, Ibadan and GOF international college.He is presently studying Communication and Language


Arts in the University of Ibadan.


YOUNG JOHN is the official producer for #TheBeat999RadioSuperStar, he will be working with this seasons winner to produce a smash hit single.
