Sterling Bank Savers Promo is still ongoing. The Group Head, Liability Products and Bank assurance, Sterling Bank, Mr. John Akingbade, explained that the promo, which started on May, 1, 2012 will run through December 31, 2012.
According to him, the campaign is meant to support the Central Bank of Nigeria’s financial inclusion campaign.
Akingbade added: “We are trying to ensure that the unbanked populace estimated at about 56 million is captured. They require banking services which they do not have access to. The promo is an avenue to bring them on board and reward them accordingly.”

He explained that customers are expected to open new account with minimum initial opening balance of N5, 000 and leave the fund to grow over a 3-month period.
